The Lowell Memorial Auditorium plays a starring role in the region's cultural and entertainment scene. Bill Cosby, The Irish Tenors, Tom Jones, Melissa Etheridge, Bruce Springsteen and internationally acclaimed musicals, such as Cats and Fosse, have played to sold-out audiences here. It is also the site where boxing greats Rocky Marciano and Marvelous Marvin Hagler won their first Golden Gloves championships.
Grand architecture and a magnificent setting along the Concord River create a striking first impression. Elaborate renovations have also made the Lowell Memorial Auditorium convenient, flexible and completely modern.
With seating for up to 2,800, perfect acoustics and excellent sight lines, the auditorium provides an inviting setting for events of all types and sizes. Audiences from discerning theatre-goers to die-hard wrestling fans return again and again to concerts, conventions, expositions, Broadway shows and sporting events. The Lowell Memorial Auditorium is the venue of choice in the Merrimack Valley.
Flexibility - From Broadway Shows to Trade Shows.
With breakout space for groups of 20 to 200, and an exhibit area for up to 90 booths, the auditorium offers flexible space to promoters and event planners.
The auditorium has a semi-circular main hall with a fully-appointed stage and seating for 3,000 on the floor, parquet and balcony. A concourse separates the main hall from the Hall of Flags and two wings. The Hall of Flags provides a spacious meeting area. The Veterans Wing has three function rooms, two with capacities of 50, and a third with a capacity of 200. Each meeting room is served by one of the three kitchenettes, and dining space is also available.
Last but not least - Convenience and affordability.
The Lowell Memorial Auditorium is easily accessible from major highways, is fully air-conditioned and handicapped accessible. Our staff includes professional security and technical personnel. We also offer assistance every step of the way - from information on local media to suggestions about nearby caterers, and the Lowell Memorial Auditorium is one of the region's most affordable facilities.
Loading into the auditorium is easy, with a short ramp equipped with a dock leveler. Ample parking for up to five buses or trucks is available behind the auditorium. A passenger elevator serves all three floors.
A private dressing room with bath facilities, and two large dressing rooms, each large enough for 40 people, are located with access to stage right and left. Furnished lounges for media conferences, receptions or for private entertaining are also accessible from the dressing room.
The Lowell Memorial Auditorium is everything an auditorium should be. Comfortable, affordable, and only 30 minutes from downtown Boston, we're dedicated to serving the needs of meeting planners of all kinds.

Playbill Advertising
The playbill is distributed during the six shows that are featured in the Performing Arts Series at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. Advertising in the playbill is not only a great way to support the arts in the community, but it’s also a very affordable way to reach thousands of our patrons from Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The playbill is pre-printed to keep rates as low as possible, therefore no changes may be made to the advertisements during the year. Playbill advertisements are normally placed during the summer months in order to be ready for print in the early fall.
Any hotel or restaurant that purchases a full page ad in the playbill will receive a listing on lowellauditorium.com. The listing includes your company logo (or a photograph of your establishment), address, phone number, a direct link to your website and any additional information you would like highlighted. As soon as you pay for your full page ad for the upcoming playbill, your listing will go on the website.
Here are the sizes, colors and pricing options available for the playbill:
